Theme: #52: Piano
Playing that Melody
Summary: Lucy trying to remember a tune she learned long ago.
Disclaimer: I don't own Narnia.
Author's Note: Well, I just read a drabble piano for Pirates of the Caribbean. I think I can make a piano sad.
Lucy had never liked the piano, really. Trying to reach the peddles down at the bottom had always been a chore for her, and she couldn't reach the far off keys without scooting over to get them, messing up the rhythm.
But there was a song she learned while she was in Narnia on a similar instrument, and she was trying to play it.
"Was it A flat or B sharp?" She said aloud, trying to remember the key. "I'm pretty sure it was the A flat…" She played the three notes before it, and put her foot down on the peddle. It came out sounding awful.
She bit back a frustrated sob and let her head hit the keys. She had to face the truth. She was forgetting Narnia.
