There were many story's and rumors of what went on in the forest. One of the rumors was made up by the king and queen of the land. The king said "Who ever went into the forest never returned. There was this young lad not much younger than you," he pointed at a young of the age 14 "he went in with fair warning about the great forest and the creatures, he didn't listen, of course like any young lad would, it was only a few years ago this happened," His tummy rumbled as he started to eat some chicken, "A few men tried to go in there to safe the young lad but three seconds after they went in they came running back out yelling there heads off" The young girl was trying not laugh at the ridiculous story.

"Do not laugh young lass as you see this young lad would only be about 15 16 years old now!" The king said quite disturbed by the laughter she made from her mouth.

"I am truly sorry my lord but the thing is the only reason those men probably ran back out after three seconds was because they were told to do it." This young girl looked at the king waiting to hear his great answer. The king looked at her quite surprised and red with anger. The young girl stood up and walked closer to the king smiling slowly. "What is your name lass and how old are you?" The king asked her with a bit of anger along with it. "My name my lord is Summer" Summer said "I am 14 years old," he looked at Summer thinking that he had out smarted her because if his greatness. She stood in front of the king grinning as if she was innocent. "Hmmm…Now Summer would you personally go into the Great Forest and save this young lad from terrible clutches of the creatures?" He asked this with a big grin on his face waiting to see what her reaction would be to this statement. "I will if my lord you will do something for me," Summer asked as the sun hit her eye making it sparkle. "It depends what it is. What is it that you want me to do," The King asked leaning forward right into her face eating another piece of chicken.

"That you my lord will announce that all the rumors about the forest were fake on my return with this lad," Summer walked off to go get ready for her trip into the so-called great forest. The king stands up from his chair grumbling and rubbing his stomach knowing she will not return from the great forest.

Later on that day, the sun sizzled as everyone stood at edge of the forest waiting for Summer to appear. After it had reached two in the afternoon Summer walked down in clothes for walking and food on her back. Everybody looked and watched her scowling as she went passed. Some lads run up to her and gave her bundles of nice things like flowers, food, and everything she could imagine. Summer walked up to the king grinning.

"Why are you so happy lass you are about to go into the Great Forest!" The King said grumbling it out. A small smile appeared onto Summer's face as she told him why she was so happy. "My lord I am happy because I am getting away from here and shall be happier in the so called Great Forest! Summer gave a little giggle as if she was only seven years old. The King was very offended that his face went blood red and his eyes popped as if his head was to exploded. "The young lad that you are going to be looking for has brown hair, green eyes, and is just a bit taller then you deary." The King said this so loud that birds flew out of the Great Forest. Summer nodded very slowly getting the information in. Summer slowly smiled and waved greatly to everyone as they shouted good-bye.
