My Adventure as a Pikachu
Happens after 'Hocus Pokémon', and before 'As Clear as Crystal'.
Part 1
I stretched awake in the morning, yawning and rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. I then noticed my hands were still Pikachu hands.
"Good morning, Ashachu." Misty said to me. I turned to her, confused. Ashachu? What did she mean by that?
"Am I still a Pikachu?" I wanted to know, even though I think I already knew the answer. Misty nodded as she stood up.
"Afraid so." I sighed. I had a blast playing with Pikachu, Togepi, and Lily's Murkrow yesterday as one, but I was ready to become human again. I then had another question. I looked at Misty.
"Ashachu?" Misty smiled.
"Ash and Pikachu, Ashachu. Get it?" I gave her an irritated look.
"Yeah! Real clever." Misty smiled again. That's when Togepi and Pikachu woke up, yawning, making their Pokémon noises as they do so, and rubbing the sleep out of their eyes. Misty turned to Togepi.
"Pi!" Togepi greeted. Togepi looked at me. "Togi?" Pikachu also looked at me.
"Pika?" He questioned.
"Ash is still a Pikachu." Misty explained. "I call him Ashachu. Isn't that clever?"
"Pi!" Togepi agreed cheerfully.
"Pika!" Pikachu added. Misty giggled. I rolled my eyes.
"I'm glad you're enjoying this." I said. Brock then came to us.
"Good morning, Misty!" He greeted.
"Morning, Brock!" Misty said to him. He turned to Pikachu and Togepi.
"Morning, Togepi and Pikachu."
"Pika!"
"Togi!" Brock looked at me last.
"Hey, Ash. I see you're still a Pikachu."
"He's Ashachu now." Misty told him. Brock broke out laughing.
"Oh, Ashachu! I get it. Good one, Misty!"
"Thanks." I rolled my eyes again. My friends!
"Ready for breakfast?" He asked.
"Yeah, breakfast; let's do it!" He turned to Pikachu and Togepi. "Come on, guys." He looked at me.
"Ashachu."
"Yeah, yeah; I'm coming!" We followed him to the big oak table. Lily had felt so bad about turning me into a Pikachu that she invited us to her house for dinner yesterday. She wanted us to stay the night and have breakfast as well, but I told her I wanted to get to Blackthorn City and challenge the gym. I told her that we could camp outside for the night.
"You know, you can't challenge the gym like, well, a Pikachu." Lily had told me. "You don't have your Pokeballs."
"I know." I responded.
"Will Ash turn back into a human by then?" Misty had asked. Lily shrugged.
"Hopefully." Lily replied. Misty and Brock looked at me.
"Do you still want to go, Ash?" Brock asked. I nodded.
"You won't able to challenge the gym as a Pikachu." Misty added. I turned to
her.
"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it." I told her.
Before we left, Lily had offered us bagels and cream to take on our journey.
We thanked her, and left.
Brock had taken out three bagels, the cream cheese, and the Pokémon food. Brock looked at me.
"Are you going to eat our food or the Pokémon food, Ash?" He asked me.
"Yes." I answered. "I might be in this Pikachu body, but I'm still a human."
"Okay." He and Misty then called their Pokémon so that they could eat. They were of course freaked out that I was a Pikachu at first, but they warmed up to the idea, and all chowed down on their Pokémon food. I leapt up to the table and spread the cream in my bagel.
I was about to take a bite into my cream-filled bagel, when I looked at the Pokémon. I kind of felt awkward that I was up her eating my food, when they had to eat on the ground down below. I sighed and leapt down. The Pokémon were confused.
"Pika?" Pikachu asked.
"Togi?"
"I'm going to eat down here with you guys," I told them. "If it's okay with you." The Pokémon smiled and nodded. They then continued with their meals. I continued with mine. Misty and Brock smiled and resumed theirs.
When I finished my bagel, I looked at Pikachu's food and wondered. Should I? I looked at Pikachu.
"May I?"
"Pika!" He answered.
"Thanks, Pikachu." I then dug in. Surprisingly, it wasn't that bad.
"Man, this isn't too bad." Before I knew it, I ate it all. I looked at Pikachu and gave him a lame smile and laugh. "Oops, sorry, Pikachu." Pikachu smiled.
"Pika!" I smiled back. He didn't care. My good buddy Pikachu.
"Are you sure you still want to go to Blackthorn?" Misty asked me after we finished eating.
"Of course." I answered her. "I'll turn human again before we get to the gym."
"Are you sure?"
"I hope so. If not, we can go exploring until I turn human again. And who knows? Maybe the gym leader will make an exception and allow me to challenge her." Misty shrugged.
"Alright."
When we packed everything up, and after Brock and Misty had returned their Pokémon back into their Pokeballs, we were on our way.
I was just walking when all of a sudden a glass container surrounded me.
"Hey, what the?!" I asked.
"Gotcha!" I looked at who my captor was. It was Meowth! He picked me up.
"Let him go!" Misty cried.
"No way, missy!" Meowth said. The bushes then rustled and out stepped Jessie and James, Jessie beginning their motto.
"Prepare for trouble," Jessie began.
"Make it double!" James added.
"To protect the…." You don't need the motto, right? I mean, you know it by heart, don't you?
I gave out an electric stock in the glass container. Pikachu had showed me how to do it yesterday after Lily and her Murkrow had left, along with other awesome Pikachu moves. Unfortunately, it failed. I sighed as all three members of Team Rocket laughed. I should have known.
"You won't get out of there, Pikachu." Jessie said to me. "It's shock proof."
"Yeah!" Meowth added. "You can try all you want, but it'll be a waste of time!" Brock gritted his teeth at Team Rocket.
"You won't get away with this!" He said, getting out one of his Pokeballs. He looked at Misty. "Ready to fight, Misty?" Misty took out one of her Pokeballs.
"Ready Brock!" She replied. Jessie brandished a finger at them.
"No, no, no!" She told them. She looked at Meowth. "Now, Meowth!"
"Righto!" He agreed. My friends were about to send out their Pokémon when Meowth quickly pulled out a smoke bomb, and threw it on the ground. I saw Brock and Misty cough in the smoke.
Before I knew it, we were floating off in the Meowth shaped hot-air balloon. Brock had his Crobat out and the smoke was gone, so it must've used its Whirlwind attack. Misty's Psyduck was also out. I could tell on her face as she returned it to its Pokeball that she was annoyed. My friends then watched me going further and further away from them. I put my Pikachu hands on the glass, worried.
"Misty, Brock." I said.
I then saw Pikachu come out from behind Misty. Pikachu must've hid behind her to avoid capture. Good ol' Pikachu. That was a smart move. But, I was captured, so the question is, how am I going to escape?
We landed in front of a log cabin and Meowth took me out.
"Let me go!" I cried. Meowth gasped. He was so surprised that I was talking, that he dropped me to the ground, shattering the glass, letting me free. Wished I'd done that earlier. That way I could still be with my friends, but oh well! I was here and have to deal with it.
"MEOWTH!" Jessie scolded. "Glass breaks you know!"
"I'm sorry." Meowth apologized. "But Pikachu talked to me. It just startled me is all." James was confused.
"Pikachu talked to you? It never talked before."
"Meowth just probably heard its Pikachu talk." Jessie explained.
"No." Meowth responded. "I heard it talk like a human."
"Like the way you do?" James wanted to know as he went over to us.
"Yeah." Meowth answered. "For a second, I thought it was the twerp talking, but it wasn't. It was his Pikachu." '
"Come to think of it, Pikachu was there, but not the twerp"
"Yeah, that is odd. You make a good point there, Jimmy boy."
I then made my getaway.
"Hey!" Jessie shouted after me.
"Nobody gave you permission to leave." James added.
"Yeah!" Meowth added. "So be a good little Pikachu and come back to us!" They chased me into the forest.
Jessie must have called her Arbok for she ordered it to lunge at me.
"Charboka!" It cried out and wrapped me in its tail. I was trapped!
"Good work, Arbok!" I heard Jessie congratulate her Pokémon. I looked at them. James had his Weezing out. Jessie looked at me and laughed. " You're trapped like a rat!" Jessie said.
"Or like a Pikachu!" James added.
"Uh, Jimmy boy," Meowth began. "Pikachu's a mouse, not a rat. So, if you use that joke, thinking Pikachu was a rat, it's not that clever." James hung his head in shame.
"Thanks for the tidbit, Meowth." I unleashed my Thunderbolt out of my cheeks, electrifying the cobra. The Pokémon loosened its grip, fainting. I jumped out of its coil.
"Weezing, Tackle!" James commanded his Pokémon. "Don't let it get away."
"Weezing!" It said, lunging at me. I jumped out of the way, landing on a branch on a nearby tree. This confused the Pokémon.
"Weezing, whiz?" It asked itself, trying to find me.
"It's above you!" James told it. Weezing looked above at me as I clung to its face. "Shake it off!"
Weezing tried to shake me off, but I did another Thunderbolt, making it faint.
"And for the record." I said to Team Rocket. "I'm Ash, not Pikachu." Before Team Rocket had time to react, I did yet another Thunderbolt, sending them and their Pokémon all flying.
"WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" I head all of them yell their curse. They talked a little before that, but I didn't hear it. It probably was Meowth pointing out that he was right, and that I could talk and James commenting about it. But I could hear Jessie shouting "Shut up!' to Meowth though. Wobbuffet also appeared out of its Pokeball and said its name. Victreebel also came out, latching itself onto James, which made him cry out in pain. He also seemed to beg for it to get off, (his voice was muffled through) but, of course, Victreebel didn't listen.
I landed on the ground, feeling proud of myself. I had defeated Team Rocket by myself…as a Pikachu!
I looked all around then. Where do I go? I'm lost! How will I find my friends?
As I was figuring out what to do, I heard a cry. Huh? Is that a Pokémon cry? I ran to the noise to find out.
I ran into a clearing and gasped at what I saw. There were a circle of Gravelers and in the middle, cowering in fear, was a little Dratini!
"Hey!" I shouted. The Gravelers looked at me as I ran in, protecting the frightened Dratini. "Leave this Dratini alone! What did it ever do you?" The Gravelers didn't look too happy.
"Can't you see this Dratini is scared of you guys?" I tried to reason with them. "So just back off, will ya? Back off and leave it alone!" I could tell by their faces that they weren't going to let us be. They came closer and closer to us. Then one of the Gravelers lunged at me. I jumped out of the way, dodging it. It then did its Rock Throw attack. I dodged that too. It then did its rollout, trying to flatten me to a pancake. I did my quick attack. Getting away from it as quickly as I could.
Fortunately, I tired the Graveler out. I was tired out too. Unfortunately more of its Graveler buddies came at me. Ugh; I can't defeat all of these Gravelers like this! What's a Pokémon trainer-turned Pikachu supposed to do?
I then looked at the tree and saw some pinecones…or at least I think they're pinecones. I didn't have time to think about it though. I just ran up to the tree, using quick attack. Pinecos fell out, scaring the Graveler away. I rolled my eyes. Great; more Pokémon trouble! I got ready for their attacks.
I was surprised when they didn't attack, they didn't even glance our way. After they scared all the Graveler away, they all hopped back into the tree.
I sighed in relief. I had saved the Dratini!
"Are you alright?" I asked the dragon Pokémon. Dratini just looked at me, confused that a Pokémon was talking to it. I don't blame it. I looked it over and sighed with relief. There were no signs that Dratini was injured. I waved goodbye to it. "Well, bye!" I then took off.
I didn't go far when I sensed I was being followed again.. I looked behind me. It was Dratini. Dratini looked at me.
"You're welcome." I told the Pokémon, assuming it wanted to thank me. "Saving you is my pleasure. My friends and I love to help every Pokémon and human we come by." I said goodbye again and took off.
I felt like I was being followed again. I looked behind me again. Dratini was still following me.
"Why are you following me?" I asked. "I saved you. I like to play, but I have to be on my way." I went of again.
I sighed a few minutes later and turned to Dratini.
"Look!" I snapped. "I'm very sorry, but I got to be on my way. My friends are…" A look at Dratini's big, round, sad eyes. I sighed again. "I'm sorry I snapped at you. You're lost, aren't you?" The Dratini whimpered and nodded. I saw a tear coming from its eye. I went to it.
"Hey, don't cry." I told it. "Don't worry, I'll get you back to where you belong." The Dratini looed at me. "My friends will understand." Dratini cheered up.
"Dratini, tini!" It cried out with joy. I smiled.
"Come on; the sooner we go, the sooner I'll get you back safe and sound." I walked on, the Dratini slithering by my side.
I looked all around and at the sky above. I imagine that Brock commanded his Crobat to come find me, but I haven't seen it, or my friends yet. I sighed and looked at Dratini. This was more important anyways; helping out this little Dratini. And I intended to do just that. Besides, I might see them on the way and they might help out. I just have to hope.
