For My Friend Is Richly Shrined

Tezuka was in the zero-shikki drop-shot that Echizen landed over the net. He was in the calm as Echizen faced his opponents (victims, Fuuji-sempai whispered, smirking); in the fluidity of his movements, and in the inexhaustible, continuous surge of his energy.

Kaidoh thought that Tezuka also lingered in the ball that wavered on the net before dropping onto the opponent's court, and brought the sun when there was rain and the cool on a summer's day.

He was looking for Tezuka when he ran past Echizen's house. Echizen came out, but his eyes weren't like Kaidoh's.

They couldn't see Tezuka.
