"Natsume kun," Natsume looked up from his book to see Mikan's smiling face.
"what do you want poka dot panties girl?"
"i just wanted to ask if you wanted to dance with me tonight at the last dance." Mikan started shaking his shoulder. "Natsume, hey Natsume."
Natsume opened his eyes to see his best friend Ruka-Pyun. "are you ok?"
"yeah, i'm fine. Why?"
"you just started spacing out." he sat down beside Natsume. "what are you doing up here?"
the two boys were on the roof of the girl's dorm.
"Mikan said one could see all of Tokyo up here. and she was right." The pyrokinetic looked up at the sunset.
"something's on your mind Natsume."
"i was just thinking."
"about what."
"I've known Mikan chan since we were ten, and pretty soon we'll be going our separate ways." Natsume paused for a second. "and there's just so many things i left unsaid."

Natsume's POV
It really was our last dance this time, considering it was our final year at the academy. and this year Mikan was the queen of Alice. I wonder who she'll pick. probably Ruka.
Damn, the tension is killing me.
"and this year's queen of Alice chooses... Natsume"
Nani? she chose me?
the next 5 minutes went by in a blur before i knew it i was dancing with the girl of my dreams.
"Mikan," I said "do you remember that time when i was kidnapped?"
"kind of, you set the docks on fire right?"
"yeah. but there's a lot that happened that night. that i've been holding back."
"like what?"
"well i ..." why i am stuttering? i took a deep breath. "I'vealwayslovedyou!"
"nani?"
"i love you Mikan, i fell in love with you that day." i took a small velvet box out of my pocket, and got down on one knee. i opened my mouth to ask her the question that had burned my mind for so long.
"YES!" she squealed before i could say anything.
i smiled as we continued to dance. all of a sudden those fears about our future don't
seem so bad anymore. cause i now know what ever happens, we'll face it together.
