"Steve, Sarah, control room. I have a new mission for you two," Nick Fury said over the ear com.

I made my way to the control room and met up with Sarah and Nick.

"I need you two to go undercover and find confidential files. Somehow they were taken out of headquarters and now they hit home."

"What kind of files?" I asked.

"Everyone's personal information files. Strengths, weaknesses, stuff like that."

I nodded.

"Hit home? What do you mean?" Sarah asked.

"They are in the town you grew up in, Madison County, Illinois."

I could see Sarah ached to go back there with everything back to normal, not this jumbled mess.

"You two will leave tomorrow afternoon. I've already prepared a place for you to stay and Sarah, you are already signed up for school. You start in two days."

"Is it the same school?" Sarah asked.

"Yes, it is. I'm hoping that because you're undercover, you haven't been there for a few years, and with a new name, no one will recognize you. Don't show too much excitement when you see someone you know and never use your real name. That goes for both of you."

"What will I do while Sarah is in school?"

"You will find those files. Go into every work place, every mall, every store, everywhere and don't stop until you find those files. While Sarah is with you on the weekends, you both will try to find those files."

"Yes sir."

We left the room and Sarah stayed close by my side.

"You nervous?" I asked.

"A little. Its been a long time since I was last there."

"It's ok. We'll get through it together. Who knows? It might only take a week," I replied reassuringly.

"Yeah, but it might also take a few months. I just want to get it over with, to be honest."

"I know," I whispered holding her close.

Sarah wrapped her arms around my waist. She leaned her head against my heart and I could feel tears coming from her eyes.

"Sarah, it's going to be alright. I know this will be hard but I'll be there with you the whole time."

"Thanks," Sarah mumbled.

We went our separate ways and all I could think of was how in the world would Sarah get through this. She was already in so much pain and we haven't even started the mission yet.

That night I was awoken by Sarah climbing into bed with me. I wrapped my arm around her body as she lay her head on my chest.
