Senji watched the TV carefully as he tried unsuccessfully to occupy his mind. Even lifting weights couldn't distract him. He normally didn't pay attention to this kind of stuff, or even really care about it, but this time was different.

"…and Woodpecker in the Carnival Corpse-" He quickly turned his head. The bright colors of the TV lit up the weight room. He knew that Ganta could take care of himself, but for some reason he was worried. It was like there was a weight on him he couldn't see or lift. Even though it didn't seem like it, he had feelings for the kid. Why? Well for many reasons, for example he loved his spirit, how happy he could be for little things, how much he cares for others, how he holds the weight of the world on his shoulders. And most importantly how he never gave up.

The fight was already 5 minutes in, he couldn't recall the opponent. It might be difficult and he'd have his work cut out for him, but Senji decided that as long as Ganta used his blood wisely he would be alright. With his heart now at ease, he turned back to his weight. But he couldn't help but think that something was wrong.

"And the Woodpecker is knocked out." Senji snapped back around in time to see Ganta lying helplessly on the ground. Senji jumped up still staring at the TV but all the announcers words ran together. Slowly Senji's hand made its way to his eye patch. He couldn't help but think that Ganta would have to play the penalty round. He winced as he thought about his first penalty round. Sure every Deadman has been through it multiple times and it is better than dying in the cage but, he teared up a little, he didn't want Ganta to go through the same pain.
