Roy groaned loudly wishing he could cover his ears, but he couldn't while driving.
He was going to pick up his little brother at school with his other younger brother.
Well, not real brothers…. but, they might as well be.
Roy, Wally, and Robin, since they had met each other, were inseparable. Their mentors used to joke that they were all connected at the hip... Well at least Flash and Ollie did. Batman just stood there, wearing a smile only Robin could see.
He loved his brothers, but, like normal siblings, they had their moments of completely annoying the living Crap out of each other.
Apparently, Wally decided it was the perfect time to sing loudly and badly to "Dynamite" on the radio.
Why me? Roy thought as Wally hit a high pitch, sounding like a raccoon hit by an Ice-cream truck that was already blaring the ice-cream tune, really off key. (1)
"SHUT UP!" Roy yelled as he got nearer to Dick's school.
"We gon' light it up,Like it's dynamite!" was Wally's answer.
"SHUT IT WALLY RUDOLPH WEST OR I'M GONNA STICK AN ARROW UP YO- ….. Hi Dick."
At that very moment Dick got into the car, not looking at them. Roy's alarm bells went off inside his head when he didn't greet them or even acknowledge them.
"Dick what's wr-."
"I'm gonna put my hands in the air! Hands, hands in the air! Put your han-"
"ZIP IT! Dick what's wrong?"
Wally finally noticed Dick acting strangely. "Yeah, Dick what's wrong?"
"I don't want to talk about it."
"Dick….."
"C'mon,"
"I SAID I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT!" the normally cheerful bird yelled and he looked up for a second.
His right eye was swollen and black and his lip was split.
Noticing the look of surprise and rage on his brothers' faces, he quickly looked back down.
Trying to stay calm, Roy asked through gritted teeth. "Who did this to you."
"Nobody, I just tripped and-"
"RICHARD, CUT THE **** BULL**** RIGHT NOW, AND TELL ME WHO DID THIS TO YOU!"
Wally was silent, he was vibrating and his eyes looked murderous.
"A bully. I wouldn't do his homework for him and he became furious and…this happened."
"What was his name!?" Wally spoke up for the first time.
"…..Andrew Lennings(2)."
"You have to tell Bruce," Roy persuaded.
"I can't! You know what he will do, he will go all Daddy Bats!"
"But, Dick you have to do something!" the archer argued.
"I can't. I'm not Robin at school, I'm Dick Grayson. I can't risk Bruce's identity."
"But, DICK!" the two read-heads screamed in unison.
"Can we please just drop it and stop talking about this?"
They spent the rest of the car ride in silence but, Wally and Roy were in no way was going to drop it.
