Disclaimer: I own nothing. In fact, I'm just a poor college student :C

A/N: So I was bored and in a writing mood ... which rarely ever happens anymore. This probably didn't turn out too well, but whatever. Enjoy?

The cold bit mercilessly at his exposed skin as fluffy, white specks swirled about the night sky. He shuddered softly, the cold only partly to blame. Winter was the worst season of all; it held nothing but darkness and death, and did nothing for the man except to remind him that his time on this earth was almost up. He subconsciously rubbed at his aching shoulders before hugging himself, trying to shake off the cold.

The navy and indigo sky reflected prettily on the snow, casting silver and purple light across the land. He allowed himself to smile slightly upon seeing the colors, his favorite colors, lighting up the earth and warming his heart. Thoughts of an entity of silver and lavender that was able to warm his heart made his heart swell and his cheeks flush, he no longer felt the cold. His mind's eye pictured waves of silver-blonde hair and eyes of the deepest amethyst twinkling with mirth.

His fingers twisted together with those of another, encased in black leather. He turned his head up, eyes catching those amethyst gems and a smile graced his lips. Winter was cold and harsh, dark and depressing, but as long as the silvers and purples continued gracing the land warmth would fill his heart, radiating through his body and the winter would be bearable.
