"Do I look well?"
It is the fifth time he asks it and Ginny cannot avoid a full tenderness smile. She knows the question disguises much more important questions, like: how will I do it?, will he like me?, will I do it well?
After War and Voldemort (don't think about Fred, don't think about Fred), the Harry's biggest fear keeps on being a possible rejection, and Ginny is amazed at he is able to keep intact a heart with so many need to love.
So she tenderly presses his hand and caresses with the fingers his cheek, still full of wounds.
"You look fantastic"
"Do you think he will enjoy it?" he asks, referring to the enormous wolf toy.
Ginny remembers Harry in the toy-shop, and how he exactly knew what the present he would give Teddy the first was. He had been crying every night since Remus Lupin death. "Sons should not forget their fathers", Harry said. And there were no more questions.
"I think he will fill it with hugs and spittle until you'll have no more chance than giving him the whole shop."
Ginny knows the following toys will be a dark dog and a deer, because Harry doesn't forget his fathers.
"He is going to be the most bad-mannered and pampered child of whole History"
"I'm afraid so", Harry smiles.
But before ringing at the doorbell, he turns full of worry and this time yes, asks:
"Will I do it well?"
And Ginny exactly knows what the answer is.
"Of course you will, Harry"
There has never been possibility of another chance, actually.
