Sam bolted through the door where he'd last seen Dean and came to an abrupt, almost violent, halt. His feet practically left skid marks on the concrete.
His brother lay in a heap in the middle of the room. A clown—an honest to goodness killer clown complete with rainbow curls and geometric swirls on his puffy jumpsuit—loomed over a writhing Dean, a ghostly hand buried in his chest. A maniacal, unearthly grin lit his face.
A shudder raced through him. Pushing aside his revulsion, Sam brought the shotgun to bear and growled, "Hey, Pennywise!"
He pulled the trigger.
