Heading Where You Aren't

Each step I take

I want to be with you

Each step I take

Takes me from you

I can't stop

How I feel about you

Was it fate

That we aren't together?

As time goes by

We feel we forget each other

This feeling I hate

But I can't stop it

We're forgetting each other

As we forget

We forget memories

Of our childhood

Of our time together

Of the many things

We treasure in our hearts

Life is like this

It keeps us moving forward

And so I head

Where you aren't
