"Alright it shouldn't be much longer, I think the potion's just about ready."
Abuka gazed lovingly at her boyfriend, who had decided about an hour ago that he would try to impress her by making a potion. Everyone in the class knew Abuka was a genius when it came to potions, she knew basically everything there was to know. Her talents were much greater than any other sixth year at their school. Seamus was...well almost the exact opposite. It seemed like every time he tried to make a potion it would fail, come out not very good quality or just sort of... blow up.
Not today though, no sir. He was determined.
"This is the last ingredient now, I think i may have gotten everything right this time."
"I think so too sweetie. Now just remember, if this doesn't work out like it's supposed to I still appreciate the effort, got it?"
With a nod of his head, Seamus inhaled deeply and shut his eyes.
This is it, I've almost got it. Just one more...
And he dropped it in.
For a moment it really did seem like all had gone well. It was dead silent, save for the sound of plant sizzling into the mixture. Just as Seamus had breathed a sigh of relief and started to grin...
BOOM
There goes the cauldron...
Both sixteen year old's stared at the smoking pot in silent shock, wondering where it had gone wrong. It wasn't until Seamus broke the silence with a load groan of frustration that it finally seemed safe for anything to move.
"What the hell happened this time, everything was right! You even told me and you're the expert! I just can't do anything right can I, not even make a bloody-"
"Kiss me."
Seamus stared at his girlfriend in shock. She was never, ever that direct. As in... he had never heard anything so blunt ever come out of her mouth. It seemed she definitely wasn't kidding though when her arms wrapped around his neck and pulled him in for a deep kiss. His arms automatically wrapped around her waist after the initial shock and kissed back just as passionately. After some deep snogging they both pulled away, staring into each other's eyes.
"What was that for?"
Abuka moved her mouth so it was just barely brushing his ear, and whispered
'You seem to forget that I absolutely love explosions~"
