Simulation
"Three guys, twelve seconds flat," Harold "Happy" Hogan panted happily. "I'm getting better!"
Hawkeye and Captain America exchanged a brief look before the former started in.
"Three guys in twelve seconds is not my idea of fast," he stated dryly.
Hogan's face fell. Straightening a bit and placing his hands on his hips he demanded, "Well then, what prey tell is your idea of 'fast'?"
Hawkeye grinned and took off into the training simulation. No-one needed to tell Cap to start the stopwatch that hung around his wrist; he did so automatically.
Clint ran up behind the first simulated HYDRA scum and rammed into his back, knocking the wind out of him. Spinning the gas-masked employee around with one hand, Clint used his bow in the other to knock the man's lights out. Then, without wasting another second, he ran over his first victim and used the same maneuver on the next man.
Hawkeye raced halfway up an incline before jumping, tucking, and rolling neatly onto his feet on top of a medium-sized lookout. Using his bow, he knocked the guard over the rail, allowing him to fall unconscious to the floor below. Quickly hopping up onto the rail, he jumped over to the next lookout and rolled into a crouch. Notching a simple, non-lethal, non-tricked arrow, the pro archer wasted no time in launching it into the back of one of the bigger, shielded HYDRA guards. The force of impact, though small, was just enough to send him teetering off the edge and falling into some lava. Clint hadn't wanted to use an explosive, as this was supposed to be a stealth mission and an explosive would undoubtedly have alerted the rest of the guards.
Turning around, Hawkeye jumped down to a small ledge where another guard stood. Without his usual smart greeting, Clint rammed his bow into the face of the shocked HYDRA man and knocked his head back into the wall.
"JARVIS," he said, "end training simulation 'Takedown', level name 'Mystery Island'."
"Very well, sir," the AI acknowledged. As soon as the lights had brightened, the holographic HYDRA men had disappeared, and the mechanical room had shifted back into its' normal setting, Hawkeye returned to the Captain and Happy. Cap tilted the face of the stopwatch for Clint to see, and the archer smugly announced:
"Nine seconds – five guys flat."
