{Ghost in a Pink Shell}
"It's cute," she told him.
Her Ghost whizzed around her head before hovering just before her. He hmm'ed at her, which made her frown.
"It's demoralising," came the accented voice of her Awoken team mate. His green eyes show in the dim light of the ship they had ended up sharing after most of theirs had gone in for repairs.
"It's cute," she insisted, putting emphasis on the words. "Stop being dramatic."
The Exo of their three man fire team turned around from the pilot seat, his own ghost hovered over his shoulder in quiet observation. "It's...pink." The portions of his mouth lit orange, the same colour as his eyes when Ore spoke.
Phoenix, the Guardian who had rose from the dead smiled. A large one which lit up her entire face. "It is, and it's cute."
Ore blinked at her. His cybernetic eyes darkened for a moment to give the impression of the action. She looked to him, in her time of knowing and learning how to read Exo's, she would say he almost seemed in awe.
Was the new case she'd gotten for her Ghost that impressive?
Taito let out a long suffering sign, and leant over to jab Ore in the ribs. The Exo came back to himself with a cough. "Fly the ship," the Awoken sounded exasperated.
Phoenix raised a brow. "What was that about?"
Taito turned his glowing green eyes to her. "You are clueless," he uttered. Then moved back to rest his back to the ships cold wall and closed his eyes.
Phoenix knew that was his sign that all conversations were to come to an end, and she rolled her eyes.
"What do you think?" She asked her Ghost, who had been watching the exchanged dressed in his new pink shell towards the back of the ship.
"It allows me access to more light, which in turn helps you Guardian - I cannot complain," he told her.
Phoenix grinned again. "And it's pink!"
The awoken signed loudly and dramatically. Phoenix ignored him.
...
Just a short piece I came up with randomly. I got a pink shell the other day (and I'm not one to usually like pink) but I thought it would be kind of funny to do something like this, and so I did!
...and it does look pretty cute.
