When Percy and Oliver ran into each other in Diagon Alley they almost didn't recognize the other. "Oliver, Oliver Wood, is that you?" Percy asked after picking up the parcels he had dropped.

"Yeah, how are you Percy? It's been what six years?" Oliver asked the red head.

"Well, eight unless you count that brief run in we had at the Ministry a year ago," Percy replied, "You want to get at a drink at the Leaky Cauldron and catch up?"

"Sure," Oliver said as the two ex-lovers walked down the street.

When the two were seated in a booth and ordered their drinks Oliver asked, "So what's going on with you, Perce?"

"Oh, well a few years ago I got married. We recently had a little girl named Molly. Would you like to see a picture of them?" Percy asked while reaching for his wallet.

"Sure," Oliver said while being shown a picture of a small family: there Percy sat with a blonde woman and a little girl with red hair. "Wow, Perce, it looks like you got that family you always wanted." At least someone can let you have that perfect family that you have always wanted.

"Ol, is everything all right?" Percy asked when the conversation lulled for a while.

"Yeah, why are you asking?"

"Well, you're being unusually quiet," Percy explained.

"It's just seeing you again. Seeing you so ha – "Oliver started to explain as the same blonde woman from the picture showed up behind Percy.

"Percy, darling, we need to get going. Molly needs to be put down for her nap," the blonde said with a strange accent.

"Of course, sweetheart. Oliver this is my wife Audrey and our daughter Molly. Audrey this is Oliver, my best friend from Hogwarts," Percy said introducing everyone.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Oliver. Percy has told me so much about you," Audrey said shaking the Keeper's hand while Oliver finally recognized her accent as Australian.

"Yeah, it's nice to meet you too," Oliver replied without emotion.

"I'm sorry that we have to dash off, but it was really nice meeting you, Oliver. Perhaps you could come by our house for dinner sometime," Audrey said.

"Yeah, maybe, by Perce, Audrey," Oliver replied as the couple walked away.

Oliver remained at the table he and Percy had been occupying just moments ago thinking: Don't forget me, Perce. I miss you so much. I wish nothing but the best for you.

Oliver drank away his miseries thinking of all the times the two had spent at Hogwarts. The two had grown up for the most part in Peace Time. They had been best friends who supported each other through everything. They celebrated everything together from their seventeenth birthdays to Percy becoming Head Boy to Oliver and the rest of the team winning the House Cup. They had been each other's first for so many things and had dated for four years before their careers got in the way and the romance in their relationship burnt out. Their years at Hogwarts especially their last few months were the best part of his life. Everything had been carefree – there was no war, they didn't have to worry about money, they were still children. Every smile, every laugh, every kiss they are all memories made And that's all they'll ever be. Memories that will eventually fade away. Who would have know how bittersweet this would taste?Oliver thought before getting up and paying the tab for the drinks before going home where he sat down on his bed crying for the man he had lost.
