It was so peaceful on the lake. She could actually forget all her worries when she went swimming or canoeing here. Jean sighed happily, laid back in her canoe, and closed her eyes. She didn't know how long she'd been laying there, just feeling the breeze caressing her face and the canoe rocking gently beneath her and listening to the birds, fish, and water, when he appeared. She sensed his thoughts but let him take her by surprise, grabbing her from behind and pulling her into a hug. She smiled as Scott kissed her, knowing their destiny lay right here.
