A haze came over her eyes as he talked about what he'd done. Tears poured down her face. She couldn't believe her husband had never been true to her! He'd been seeing not just Betsy behind her back but Lee, Emma, Moira, Valerie, Charles, and even his own brother, Alex! As she listened to him ranting about why he'd never loved her, something dark twisted inside of Jean Grey. The Phoenix had never entirely died, but until this moment, she'd kept it at bay. Screaming, she unleashed its full fury, murdering her husband, a man she had never really known!
