My first fanfic, just sprung from my head. I DO NOT own Inuyasha or even Jack and Jill for that matter.

A young boy and girl skipped merrily up the shrine steps, clutching a wooden bucket between them. Their embroidered blazers said 'Jack' and 'Jill', respectively. I supposed they were twins; they looked similar enough. I watched as they reached the shrine and looked around curiously. I wondered what they were looking for. The boy then spotted the well-house and tugged the girl toward it. Uh oh. I stealthily followed them into the dark, damp shack that housed the Bone-Eater's well. When I crossed the threshold, I immediately slinked to a dark corner to hide. I watched as the boy and girl set down the bucket and looked into the well. I smirked in amusement as their expressions went from expectant to surprised. Obviously, they didn't expect the well to be dry. Stupid kids. I laughed quietly as they started running in panicked circles, waving their arms. However, my amusement soon turned to annoyance as they began to scream like banshees. Fed up with the noise, I jumped in front of them in hopes of scaring them into silence. I suppose my plan worked too well. When I stepped into her sight, the girl, Jill, suddenly halted in her steps and stared at me in silent horror. Unfortunately, her brother was slower on the uptake. He bumped into his sister's back, and started falling backwards into the well. The girl grabbed her brother's ankles and struggled to pull him up. I made a move to help, but the girl shrieked and dropped Jack on his head. Then in an effort to get away from me, she tripped over her shoelace and joined her brother in the dark depths of the well. I rolled my eyes and peered over the lip of the well. Both kids were unconscious at the bottom. I sighed, knowing I had to help these runts or face the wrath of a certain raven-haired beauty. Feh, humans.
