Sergeant Parker POV

"Alright team, this is your weekend off so enjoy it! I said as the team raced out of the briefing room to get home.

Sam POV

As I hop into the shower I hear Spike and Lew joking about meeting girls and getting drunk tonight but all I can think about is getting home, watching a hockey game, and drinking an ice cold beer... not to mention get rid of thus monstrous headache.

I see Ed getting dressed when I step out of the shower "Hey"

"Hey, good job out there, on the shooting range I mean."

"Oh, ya thanks" I tried to blow it off. I was always taught that no matter how good I am I will never be good enough. "Can I get a ride home?"

Ed POV

Noticing Sam blow off the compliment made me suspicious; any cocky Special Forces guy would happily eat up that praise.

"So, can I have a ride?"

Oh! Ya sure."

"Thanks I'll be out in ten."

On the ride home I could tell something was wrong with Sam, I didn't want to make him mad by confronting him about it but it was getting awkward... "You okay?" I ask tentatively

He looks at me and in a hoarse voice says "Ya, I'm fine just not feeling 100%"

"Oh, what's wrong?"

Headache, really bad headache, and I think I have a fever." Cough cough

I looked over at Sam and honestly he did look like hell. After knowing him for about a year now I have thought of him as and saw him as a son. I reach over to feel Sams forehead for a fever and the heat radiating off him was extreme! "whoa, you weren't kidding! Are you okay to be alone?"

"Ya no worries."

With that I dropped Sam off and drove to my house.

Sam POV

When I woke up the next morning I could tell something was wrong, my first clue was I couldn't reach the floor from my bed. I jumped out of bed and ran over to my full length mirror, there I was standing in a 3 year old body! I couldn't help it when my bottom lip trembled and tears spilled over my eyes. For the whole weekend I was hiding out... from myself.
