AN: if you've seen the minisode from the angels take manhatten (it was never filmed, but they drew it instead and arthur darvill read the letter). But basically Rory delivers a letter to his dad, Brian, through a man with a New York accent. We later find out that Amy and Rory adopted in 1939 and named their son Anthony Brian Williams, and the man who brought the letter was Anthony. Obviously he was told the stories of their adventures and what had happened and therefore he believed Amy and Rory and delivered the letter to his grandfather.

"How can it be bigger on the inside?" Asked the three year old Anthony as Amy told the story of her raggedy doctor. The madman with a magic box.

"Is it magic?" He asked "no," the read head answered "it is very advanced technology from his planet. He never told me how it was bigger on the inside. I think it's a secret between him and his box." She told "how can a box keep secrets?" He asked. Anthony had tried to sound disbelieving, but he was full of wonder and fascination.

Amy looked around, as if to make sure nobody would hear what she was about to say. Of course nobody would hear, they were inside his bedroom at the side of his bed. Even Rory was fast asleep in the next room.

She bent over so that she was just centimetres away and whispered "it's alive!" The little boy's eyes turned round and a "wow" escaped his lips. "How did you even meet him?" He asked "it all started when I was seven years old, just a little bit older than you in 1996…" but Anthony broke the sentence "1996 haven't been yet, its 1942!" He stated "I've told you lots of times! I'm from the future!" She said.

Anthony giggled. He loved her stories about the 21st century, but this was the first time she told him about the doctor. Amy wanted to wait until he would remember the first time the story was told. That after she and Rory and died, he would remember this night. But Anthony had quite a memory, maybe he would remember back to the age of three.

So she told him of the seven year old girl who prayed to santa for someone to fix the crack in her wall, and a police box crashed in her garden. And out of it came the raggedy man. They ate fishfingers and custard and he closed the crack.

She told about the night she waited and that after 14 years she finally travelled with him. Rory joined their adventures later. Amy told about the starwhale, the angels, the pandorica, her wedding, the silence and the pirates.

She told the story from the scared little Scottish orphan, Amelia Pond, until she let herself be taken back in time by a weeping angel so that she could stay with Rory.

"What happened afterwards?" He asked sleepily. Amy smiled "you", she answered, "to the doctor I mean. What happened to him after you were sent back 50 years before you were born and he could never ever see you again?" He kept on.

"I don't know", Amy finally answered "I'll tell you what I do know, thought" she said, "one day, God knows how long after Manhattan, even after River's gone, he'll meet someone who'll heal him. Someone who will give a light to those big green eyes, and hopefully he or she takes good care of him." She finished.

"Mum," he said as Amy was about to leave the room. "Was this story true?" He asked. Amy smiled a sad smile at him "yeah."
