prince adrien gazed out his window the castle was quiet and lonely. the king was out once again leaving the poor prince all by himself in this cold silent castle. how he wished to leave these confining walls, to roam the street with his people. there was one place in particular he had sworn to go if he ever was able to leave: there was a little bakery only two streets away.

It was run by a beautiful peasant girl and her family. The smell wafted to him from somewhere nearby, he jumped as a small pebble arced towards his window. he looked down to see the girl standing below on the street with a large basket in her hands. She waved to him pointing at her basket and then him. he smiled and motioned her up. when she got there she stood politely outside the door holding out the basket for him but he puled her into the room to dine with him. "what is your name my lady?" he asked kindly pulling out a chair for her.

"My name is Marinette if it pleases your highness." she said a light blush on her cheeks as she unpacked her basket full of sweet smelling bread and treats that steamed in the chilled air of the castle.

they ate and talked and the prince laughed as did Marinette. it was well after the sunset when She announced that she must be leaving, it was a bitter sweet parting. they both wished there as no reason to leave and the prince invited her to come back and join him any time. the prince had one of the knights see heer home though he would have prefered to walk her himself but the gaurds would not hear of it. once again prince Adrien gazeed out his window the castle feeling much warmer and the quiet not so lonely, it seemed the walls had soaked up the presence of the beautiful girl and was not willing to let her go any time soon.
