Trying this on for size. Enjoy! Oh, and the characters might seem a little OOCish.
(Danny's PoV)
"Sam, I can't do this anymore!" Danny yelled as he slammed the door to his house. I sighed. It's only been a week, how is he supposed to live with this his whole life?
Danny Fenton had been turned into a halfa, half ghost-half human, just a week ago. This is a big change for him, for everybody. Well, everybody that knows. He's trying to keep it a secret, but that's hard to do when his powers activate randomly.
"Come on, Danny, let me in! I can help you! We can help you!" I said to the door. I ran, ran all the way from school after Danny when he just got up in 3rd period, and left. He went ghost and flew back to his house. I did not run that far for nothing.
"Daniel Fenton, open this door, NOW!" I yell.
"No, mom," He mumbles from behind the door.
"Ugh, come on Danny, is it that bad?" I said, instantly regretting it. My eyes widen.
"No, Danny, that's not what I meant-" The door swung open, cutting me off.
"YES! It is that bad! Why, do you think it's cool to hide something, something that is a BIG part of you, for your entire life?! You know how hard it is to keep it under control? I can barely think straight! I can't live like this, Sam, I can't!" Danny yelled, green eyes glowing. He panted from yelling, which turned into gasps.
"I, I just, can't," He said, cooling down. He slid down the door, completely exhausted. He continued panting, and I just stood awkwardly.
"Then . . . what do we do?" I asked, sitting down next to him. I was never the best at one-on-one, heart lifting talks. But Danny has a serious problem.
He's right, he can't live his life hiding. And if he did, it probably wouldn't be good. With him always so unfocused, who knows what trouble he could get himself into? What if his parents find out, what would they do? And what if he gets married, but the kids are a quarter ghost and the mom freaks out and leaves him, or even commits suicide?
"I don't know. I'll think of something in the morning," Danny said, head in his lap. I nodded, standing up.
"See ya' at school?" I said.
"See ya' at school," He replied. I forced a smile. I walked back to my house, leaving Danny on his door step.
(Next evening)
"I haven't seen him all day. Do you think he ditched?"
"No, Danny wouldn't ditch. I think he was out sick."
"You sure? He didn't look that sick yesterday. Sure, he had a headache, he told me that himself. But a headache shouldn't keep you away from school. It sure wouldn't keep me away."
"The headache was him trying to control his powers. He's having a hard time, but I'm sure he'll pull through."
"Why couldn't Danny tell me that himself? We're friends, and I never keep anything away from Danny."
"Maybe he wasn't thinking. I'll call him to see if he's okay soon."
"Okay, see you tomorrow Sam."
"Yeah, bye Tucker."
I hung up the phone, and going to dial Danny's number it rang again. I picked it up.
"Hello?"
"Sam Manson? May I speak to her?"
"This is her."
"Hello Sam, I'm Danny's mother."
"Oh, uh, hi."
"I was calling to see if you had seen Danny today? Anywhere?"
"Uh, no. He wasn't at school today-"
"Did you see him anywhere outside of school?"
"No, I thought he stayed home today, he was kinda sick yesterday, why?"
"I came home yesterday and Danny wasn't there. I thought he turn up soon, so I went to bed but when I woke up Danny still wasn't anywhere. I called the police, and now Danny is officially missing."
" . . . what?"
"Yes, Danny's missing, the police are trying to find him but he isn't anywhere! So, you haven't seen him?"
"Not since yesterday, no."
"Well, tahnk you for your time, Ms. Manson."
"Kay, bye."
I hung up. I slumped down in my desk chair.
Danny's gone, he's really gone.
And that, folks, in a oneshot. Oh, and guess what? I'VE HAVEN'T SEEN AN EPISODE OF DP IN MY LIFE! Can't find them, and they aren't on air anymore. Oh well. Please review!
