Sleepless Dreams
Your beating heart is next to me,
Your sleeping form upon me.
I watch you sleep as I cannot,
I hear you say my name.
How I wish I too could sleep,
I'd dream of you as you do me.
I wish my heart wasn't silent,
It'd beat with yours in perfect rhythm.
Yet I can't and it won't,
So I'll just watch your sleeping brilliance.
