Luffy decided that the crew should organise something for Law. The rest of the crew rejected his idea of having a party as they thought that would make it too obvious that they had known what had happened in the night. They decided to just be nice in their own discrete way.
Luffy was determined to get a laugh out of Law since he'd never really loosened up all this time on their ship so he snitched a bag of flour and parked outside Laws door ready to do his prank. When Law blearily opened the door, he was not expecting to be assaulted with a bag of flour. He had a few coughs before looking at his hands.
Suddenly he was transported to when he was 12 and alone in the world again. He had the ope ope fruit's powers but no knowledge on how to use it. All he did was stare at his white white hands, white from the amber lead disease and the snow falling around him the day Corazon died...
"Torao?"
Law came back to the present and realised his hands were covered in flour and not snow or amber lead.
"Tch, what are you doing Straw hat-ya?"
Luffy was looking slightly guilty and when he gave no answer, Law just sighed and left to go have a shower. He passed Chopper in the corridor who gave a second look before seeing luffy and scampering over to enquire why Law was covered in flour.
"Hey luffy, why is tra- WHY IS THERE FLOUR EVERYWHERE?"
"Chopper I wanted to make him laugh."
Chopper looked up to see his captain crying with his hat shading his face. He abruptly knelt down and hugged Chopper.
"He never laughs so I wanted to prank him so I threw a bag of flour at him. I wanted to cheer him up but I saw the look on his face. He looked at his hands and he looked so surprised and he started panting really quickly. He snapped out of it when I called to him and he quickly pretended nothing happened but I saw his face. I don't know about his past but whatever happened, it must have been really bad and I made him remember it. I tried to cheer him up but I just made him suffer."
Chopper wanted to say that Sanji would be angry at him snitching stuff from the kitchen and Franky would be miffed that Luffy had dirtied his Sunny but he sensed it was not the time to do that so he just let Luffy cry on his shoulder.
Law walked back to his room that night late and heard some noises coming from the men's room. He slowly peeled the door opened and peered in. He saw some shifting noises coming from Luffy's bed and debated whether he needed to come in. Luffy was making some moaning noises and he assumed that Luffy was dreaming about the death of his brother Portgas D. Ace. He saw that he was not needed though. He watched as Luffys nakama sensed the discomfort of their captain and gathered around him to help him through his nightmare. He was about to leave when he heard a noise as Luffy woke up and sat up in bed head butting Usopp unintentionally. Law guessed that the situation was handled securely and he did not need to intervene and started to close the door.
Law had not escaped the detection of Luffy however and he yelped slightly as Luffy stretched his hand out to grab Law's shoulder and pulled him forcefully to his bed.
"What is it Straw hat-ya? I was just going to my room."
"Thanks for looking out for me"
"I wasn't, I was just passing by."
