This is my first drabble, I got the idea after me and a friend were talking on how the Doctor always ended up being lonely again.
"You saved me."
Those three words where the word she heard the most out of his companions.
"You saved me."
And they saved him, gave him love, companionship, friendship, everything he needed to forget his lonely youth.
But every single one of them decided after a while that they didn't need saving any more, that they could walk alone now, like a bird leaving it's nest.
Most voluntary, some didn't have a choice.
And when that happened he was left to travel on his own again.
On moments like that he wondered who was there to save him from the loneliness.
"You're far away." Rose said, while smiling at her husband.
But not anymore. He wasn't lonely anymore.
