This is my first ever fan fiction. I'd like to start off by saying I am no expert when it comes to writing stories and if you guys don't like it then don't read it. But if you guys do like it then review. DN Angel is one of my favourite anime s and I absolutely love Dark.

I don't own DN Angel or any of the characters in the anime. Except my OCs

The Flight

From the moment I opened my eyes I knew I was dreaming. I felt the wind blow softly against my soft, pale cheeks and breathe life into my long brown hair. I was perched on top of a huge building in the centre of a town, a small town that felt really familiar.

"When was the last time I felt soo peaceful?" I thought.

Another gust of wind of wind blew in from the north. I smiled. It was time. I took a step towards the edge of the building and looked over the edge. It was a long way down, the height would have bothered some people. But not me.

I brought my heels together. Dramatically spreading my arms wide. Rising up onto the balls of my feet. I leaned forward and allowed my body to fall.

My hair whipped past me as I fell. Normally people would have been terrified at the thought of falling from a building. But not me, In fact I relished in the thrill of the fall.

Before my body could meet the hard, concrete ground. They appeared. They appeared and lifted me up towards the sky. Battling against the wind. Defying the very force of nature which rooted people to the ground.

My wings.

Although I couldn't see them, I knew they were big, beautiful and strong. They carried me up high into the clouds and soared over the town. They were my salvation.

I ran my fingers through their soft feathers as I rapidly zigzagged between buildings, over rooftops and through various tunnels without crashing.

Over the hills, and through the streets. There was not a single soul in sight to marvel their beauty and swiftness.

And they never faltered. Not once.

Smiling, my wings, once again, carried me up into the heavens. My heart overflowing with uncontrollable happiness. I gazed down at the town below me. I was free. Free from the worries and fears which haunted me during these past couple of months. It's a freedom that I have never experience in the real world. Never.

"Sora"

A sense of dread flooded in my chest. This is the part I hated the most about the dream: Waking up.

"Sora, honey, it's time to wake up!" the voice said with a hint of excitement. I resisted against the voice. Waking up would mean facing reality. And a reality check was the last thing I needed after everything that has happened.

"Sora, honey, please wake up. We're nearly there" I continued to ignore the voice. But I could feel my body stirring. Trying to cling to the dream. But despite my efforts I knew it was futile. Wither I liked it or not, I had to wake up. And face the real world.

"Sora"

I woke up.
