Good-bye, Farewell, and Don't Forget the Underwear
By: M14Mouse
Summary: Edward and Alphonse have one more conversation before he is off.
Disclaimer: Don't own them.
"How many more minutes?"
"Ten."
"Do you have everything?"
"I think so. Granny and you checked my bag like ten times before I left. I wonder if she thought that you were going to sneak away in my suitcase, Big Brother."
"I'm not going to sneak away! I have very important work going on here, Al."
"I know."
"I can see you smiling."
"Only a little."
"That is enough. Do you have your socks? Because I'm not sure that you packed enough of those. I'm not sure that there is going to be socks there! The jerk would probably ban them or something."
"I'm sure that they have socks. Just in case, I did pack a few extra pairs."
"You sure?"
"Granny checked and I checked. You probably checked behind my back. So, yes"
"Okay…Okay…Just asking, Al. I want to make sure. You can't come back home for a bunch of socks. I would never let you live it down."
"I will keep that in mind."
"You do have an extra set of shoes? You can't walk in those things forever."
"I will buy another pair when I get there."
"He would probably outlaw those too."
I'm going to be fine. I have our friends with me. He isn't going to outlaw shoes."
"I know…I know. That would be stupid…but he would totally ban socks."
"…."
"Al?"
"We talk about this. Part of our plan, remember?"
"I remember…it just that…"
"You're worrying."
"I'm not worrying."
"Yes, you are."
"No, I am not."
"Big Brother…."
"Okay…I'm not worried like you think. Well…I am worried but not about that. Okay, a little bit about that. I know that you can handle yourself. You prove that time and time again. It just that…"
"Oh."
"Yes, oh."
"You can come too, you know."
"Not part of the plan."
"We can always change them. We have done it before."
"True but...not this time, Al. I don't think that I can do it."
"I know. I'm going to miss you, big brother."
"Me too, little brother…. Me too."
"It looks like the train is coming."
"I know."
"This remembers me of when we first left home that first night. We sat right here…just waiting for the train. We thought that it would never come. You kept asking me a million times if it was coming."
"I remember that and the stares we got."
"I remember."
"…."
"…."
"Do you pack underwear? Because I know that jerk would totally steal your underwear."
"Maybe yours but I think that he likes me more than you."
"That is true. He is still a jerk."
"You know that you can say his name."
"Jerk is a prefect name for him."
"Big Brother…."
"Don't give me that look. I know that he is helping us. I doesn't mean that I have to like him."
"I think that the feeling is mural."
"…."
"…"
"My train is here."
"I know…"
"I…Farewell, Big Brother."
"Good bye, little brother."
