Based off of Tvd Promo 4x18. Elena tells Damon she never loved him, and under Silas's compulsion, she stakes him. After Elena stakes Damon, her emotions immediately turn back on. Before Damon dies, Bonnie is able to put a protection spell that keeps his body from completely dying, the only thing that can save him is the cure. While Damon's body is protected, he goes to the other side, where he meets up Alaric, Jeremy, and his mother.
- I want the entire gang to show that they protect and care for each other and all try to save Damon.
- Elena is compeled to kill Damon, and then turn her emotions back on and keep them on, so she can watch him suffer and die.
-Elena needs to be very remorseful, and try to get Damon's forgiveness after he returns human.
- I want to convey an emotional, vulnerable, self-protective side of Damon. After he returns to life, he believes the only people who ever loved him are dead.
