The sky was cloudy, dull and almost lifeless. Naruto, dressed in all black, stood in front of a gravestone. His eyes were filled with tears that seemed to never stop. He went on his hands and knees. Rain fell from the grey clouds, showering his whole body. He couldn't tell which drop was rain or tear. He pounded the ground, swearing up and down about how he was powerless. He pounded away until his hand started to bleed. Once he saw the blood run from his hand he began to pound the ground even harder. A girl dressed in black walked to his side. As a reaction, Naruto looked up to look her eye to eye. He quickly looked away.

"Why did you come here?" he asked trying to speak softly while trying to speak louder than the rain. The tares on his hands began to heal. He felt a strong pressure in his chest. The girl kneeled down and wrapped her arms around Naruto's stomach. As a reaction he pushed her out of the way. She fell to the ground, but stood up again to wrap her arms around Naruto again. This time he didn't push her back. Through the cold the rain brought he could feel warmth coming from the girl.

"I can't see you like this Naruto," the girl whispered. She tightened her grip. Naruto was silent. After around 3 minutes, she let go. "I never want you to be unhappy. I'd do anything to make you smile." Naruto looked into her eyes, her truthful, lilac colored eyes. She looked a little bit scared. Naruto looked at the gravestone than back at her. He slowly got to his feet as he wiped the tears (at least he thought they were) from his eyes and let off a small smile. The girl also smiled. Naruto, again, looked at the gravestone. He looked at the base to see the multiple cherry blossoms he put there.

"Thank you Hinata, I feel at least a little bit better," Naruto said. Hinata stood on her feet. Hinata wrapped her arms around Naruto and put her forehead on his shoulder. He again felt Hinata's warmth again. "I may still miss her, but I still have friends here. I know she still would want us to live our lives." He looked up to the now shining sky. Hinata also looked up, seeing a rainbow stretch across the whole sky. Naruto wiped away the remaining rain from his face. "I promise. The fall of another friend will never happen on my watch." He starts to walk towards the exit of the cemetery, but Hinata pulled him back. When he turned around to see why Hinata stopped him, Hinata slightly jumped up and pressed her lips to Naruto's. Naruto, at first, was surprised, but calmed himself and closed his eyes, feeling Hinata's warmth fill his cold body.

As they began walking away from the gravestone, Naruto looked at it one last time. "We'll always miss you…Sakura."

(Alex: sorry to all the NarutoXSakura fans out there, but I'm more of a NarutoXHinata fan…sorry. My first one-shot I've ever made. I was a little nervous, but I finally finished it. Also, if you like Sakura, sorry for killing her off. I do like Sakura as well, but I wanted to make a sad story for once, and a Naruto one-shot came to mind, and I didn't want Hinata to die. Sorry again. Review if you like or hate my first one-shot.)
