The war was over, yet the mourning was still carrying on. Nobody had seen George in days and Teddy still couldn't seem to grasp that his parents where gone. But in bleak depression, a flower bloomed in the brightest of colours sending hope to whomever looked it's way. That flower was Neville, yes he had lost as much as everyone else. But he had also gained the love of his life, Luna Lovegood. After declaring his love for her, they had never spent a minute apart, wrapped up in their own little bubble, oblivious to the world outside. Of course they payed their respects to the lost and shed a few tears along the way, but in doing so they only grew closer. It was a quiet evening and Neville was sat on the porch of his grandma's home, with Luna on his lap. They sat in silence, just watching the sunset and enjoying the others company. Neville slowly began to play with Luna's hair. Oh, how he loved that hair, the way it glistened in the light and travelled in individual spirals down to the bottom of her back. At this, Luna looked up and gave him the most breath taking smile. It was at that exact moment Neville knew what he had to do, he had been planning it for months, and now the time seemed right. Gently standing up as not to knock her, Neville searched in his cardigan pocket, until he found what he was looking for. Sinking down to one knee, he watched as realisation crossed Luna's face. "Luna, i know it's been a few short months, but they have been the best in my life. And watching you smile at me just then, i realised that i could never lose you. I wake up everyday smiling, just because i know you're going to be there to brighten it up in your own mad and wonderful way. So Miss Luna Lovegood, would you do me the honour of becoming my wife?" Neville hesitantly watched as the seconds passed by, a single teardrop fell from Luna's eye. He was just about to give up when she launched herself at him and they both hit the floor. "Of course," she whispered, "and it will be perfect, just what everyone will need." Elated with joy Neville picked her up and spun her around, before crushing her close. Man, he loved this woman, and he was never going to let her go.
