Kuki Sanban tore down the halls, following Wally Beatles. Every few paces he would turn around and check she was still behind him, still alive. The two had come to the part where the two halls meet, and they both slowed to catch their breath. Then, they rounded the hall. At the end, Ace was standing. He had a gun in his hand. The two froze.
Wally spoke first, he leaned into Kuki's ear and said "Run."
Kuki didn't know what to do.
"Run! You need to get out of here! Go!" Wally began to push her away-
"Stop! Get back here!" Ace wasn't going down without a fight.
"What do ya want Ace? Just don't hurt her!"
"I want what I came here for!" Ace began to walk forward, aiming the gun at Kuki.
Wally did the unthinkable. He ran up to Kuki, the way he figured she'd survive better if he protected her. Ace was angry, and approached them.
"No! Wally you can't!" Kuki moved out of his way.
And Ace fired his gun.
