WOOO:) A sweet Oneshot about Brambleclaw knowing that if he doesn't get back together with Squirrelflight, what happened to Crowpaw and Feathertail, could happen to him and Squirrelflight.
Brambleclaw saw Squirrelflight sitting next to Ashfur. His amber eyes got huge, and they filled with tears. He had a flash back. There he was, standing next to Squirrelflight, her green eyes staring at the dead body of Feathertail, horrified.
I just left Bobby's house,
The service was today
Got me thinking about how fragile life is
As I drove away
You know Amy was his only love,
In a moment she was gone, long gone:
It could have been me or you.

The tabby tom sighed as the tears fell off his muzzle. The end of the Gathering was called. He formed with Firestar and the rest of his Clan, his eyes blinking tears to the ground.

At camp, Squirrelflight stood looking at the stars, she saw them shining, and she thought of Brambleclaw's tear-filled eyes. Had she hurt him that much? She decided that she had to talk with him.
"Squirrelflight!" exclaimed a voice, she turned. There was Brambleclaw.
I drive off when the sun comes up:
I get back when it's gone down
There's so much I wanna do with you
But I can't be around.
Whoa, time has been just like a thief
It's stolen too much from us
So once it's gone we can't make it up
So tonight, let's get back in touch.
"Brambleclaw!" she mewed. She sat down. He gave her a wildflower. "I saw you crying. Did I hurt you that much?"
"Sort of. I was thinking about how we were so close on the journey to sun-drown place, but now, we are so apart," he mewed.
"I know. But, do you really trust Hawkfrost more than me?" she asked.
"No! I would never trust Hawkfrost more than you! He's my brother. I just wanted to keep in touch. He's my kin," mewed Brambleclaw.
"Leafpool was right," mewed Squirrelflight. "Oh, Brambleclaw, I'm so sorry!" tears dropped out of her green eyes.

"Oh, Squirrelflight, please don't cry," mewed Brambleclaw. "I will always love you."
"Really?" she asked.
"Really," he reassured her.
Life is a rainbow

It's the morning dew
And I don't want to spend another minute

"Brambleclaw, I'm sorry that I didn't believe you. So sorry," she mewed.
"Squirrelflight, you were right to think that. I just want you to know that however much time I spend with another cat, my single loyalty will always be to you," mewed Brambleclaw.
