Bad things happen when Naruto is angry. One time he almost killed everyone in a ten foot radius because someone insulted Hinata. It was Sasuke by the way, and his beating was horrible.
So, now, Naruto was livid. Madara had done something unspeakable. He'd sent Naruto back in time. Accidentally of course. Madara had erased all the progress he'd made as Hokage, all the respect he had bent over backwards to earn. Yes, Naruto was livid.
"I swear to Kami that the next time I see the damned Uchiha he will be dead at my feet." Then the twenty-seven year old turned four year old let out a string of curses that would make Anko blush.
All was silent and still in the alley. Naruto had been thrown back to just after he had gotten kicked out of the orphanage, but before he got his apartment. He was living on the streets.
Naruto thought of the pros of this situation. He had knowledge, if not power. He could stop certain events from happening. One of the closest events being the attempted kidnapping of Hinata.
"Get out of here, demon child!" A voice screeched at the other end of the alley.
On instinct, Naruto shot up and tore down the street, face twisted into one of fear. Then it morphed to anger, then calm, cold, rage filled acceptance. He would have to get the villagers to respect him again, and sooner.
After he had decided he was far enough away, he slowed to a stop. Looking around, he recognized the Nara clan grounds. He Shikamaru had been pretty close in his time line, so he wandered until her found the compound. Knocking of the door, Naruto got into acting mode.
Four year old, four year old, four year old. He chanted in his head, face assuming an innocent look.
Shikaku Nara answered to door. He looked around, and then down when he felt a tug on his pant leg. A little boy, looking around Shikamaru's age was standing there. He had bright blond hair and cobalt blue eyes. He looked cold and sad, but oddly smart.
"Scuse me, sir. I uh, I got thrown out of the orphanage and I need a place to sleep and it's getting cold out, so I, I, uh, wanted to ask if I could stay with you for a little while." Naruto asked, hoping that Shikaku didn't pick up on his wiser beyond his years eyes.
"What's you're name, little boy?" Shukaku asked, even though he already knew. Naruto looked down, scared that Shikaku would see his wide smile.
See, Shikaku did this thing, where he would ask questions that he already knew the answer to. But he would only do it when he was about to do something generous, extremely troublesome or crazily dangerous, so Naruto answered, though it sounded a bit watery because he was trying to hold back a laugh. Luckily, it only added to the act that he was a scared four year old who was hated by the entire village.
"Nar-Naruto, sir." He pushed the smile down and looked up at the man with watery eyes, "Can I stay with you, mister?"
Shikaku sighed and stepped back from the door, "Come in, I'll see if I can find something your size, but for now, let's get you some food and a blanket."
Dear Reader,
I'm currently searching for a beta, so for right now there might be some errors. I'm also trying to get the word count on my chapters higher and work on my character development. I hope you enjoy the first chapter. I have big plans for this story, hopefully it ends up where I want it.
Sincerely,
Axolotl-hime
