The Love Potion
Romilda had been shocked when her plan had worked. She had heard Granger warning Harry of her plans but Harry had eaten the chocolates anyway.
That had been a few weeks ago and she now had a very in-love Harry Potter following her every wish and desire. It had been fun in the beginning but Harry was different. He did not act like the hero everyone knew him to be, instead he behaved like a lovesick puppy and showed no interest in the entire people-saving business he usually worried about.
Harry wasn't a particularly wonderful singer nor a budding poet as he made a point to show her on a weekly basis. He had tried, she could see that, but those weren't his strong points.
She had realized her mistake fairly recently and had been pushing Harry away ever since. She had given him a powerful Love Potion that lasted a few months, an error in her judgement. Harry was not meant to be with her, if he was they would have had some reaction to each other when they had met along a corridor earlier this year. Harry was not hers.
"I'm lost without you," Harry said in desperation.
It was the day the potion was going to wear out. Harry would be back to normal by the end of the day.
"No you're not. You have your path, I have mine but our paths are not the same. I'm sorry."
She walked away with tears in her eyes.
She wished she had never used that potion on Harry. She regretted that decision that had made her turn Harry's pleads down.
She regretted the heartbreak she brought on herself.
