Serenity looked into the midnight sky. She saw patches of red on her old, torn white dress, and saw the moon, which looked as though it was bleeding. The only thing that stood out from her aching body was the shining silver sword that stuck out of her chest. But like everything else, that too was covered in blood. For a while she wondered where the blood was coming from. But as she breathed, she felt the intense pain getting stronger each breath she took. She looked up towards the man who was once her friend. Dean Winchester looked down at Serenity like she was nothing. Just another vessel wasted away by the likes of an angel. The angel had left Serenity a few days before she was found by Dean. But nothing could change Dean's mind. Even the painful scream that erupted from Serenity as he slowly pushed the blade further into her heart. But, Dean still felt tears fall from his green eyes, and he still stood, watching the life fade from Serenity. 'The angels…took you away…from us…' Dean whispered. Serenity could tell by the pain in his voice that Dean did not like Serenity dying before him. His words kept repeating in her mind the angels took you away from us… Serenity gasped, and breathed in the cold night air. She was beginning to wonder if she was going to die, but she was unable to move. She had no strength. The cool, autumn breeze blew though the Iowa meadow, and comforted Serenity. She felt as though she was being looked after. And as she looked into the distant hill, she saw a shadow standing alone on the hilltop. Her golden-brown hair was blowing in the wind, and the moon was glowing behind her. As Serenity began to close her eyes, she saw the shadow of angel wings against the light of the moon. The breeze started to die down, and as it stopped, Serenity looked once again to the night sky, and smiled. When Dean watched a single tear run down Serenity's beautiful face, he realized that she wasn't an angel anymore. But it was too late. Serenity had breathed her last, and died, looking up into the glowing stars of the night sky… smiling.
