A Life is a Death

This is a poem about Shikamaru dieing.

I feel a kunai push deeper into my jacket,

Purging my skin,

Ripping it.

Glancing over at Ino,

Then to my best friend,

Chouji.

I can tell more kunai touch my skin,

Connecting or falling.

I stop to grasp the fact that one just connected with the back of my heart,

Blood gushing from the wound,

Soaking the back of my shirt,

And some of the front.

I can see her cling to his arm in support,

Grieving as he stood,

Silently,

Wishing not to make her cry,

But it was to late.

I close my eyes,

Another wave of pain connecting again,

I fall unconscious.

I have no regrets,

No.

I have one.

I couldn't tell you,

That I,

Shikamaru Nara,

Loves you forever and always,

Ino Yamanaka.
