Cassandra Riddle lay almost motionless on the floor of her otherwise, uninhabited room. A cool breeze passed through the window as she lay thinking of the horrors that lay ahead of her at Hogwarts. It was not her fault that her father happened to be Tom Riddle, and even at that, he had abandoned her when she was an infant, because she was unfit to be an heir. Was it her fault that she was a girl and not a boy? She wondered if maybe somewhere, she had a half-brother or half-sister. The possibilities were endless, and too much to think of as she lay in the middle of June. She didn't have much time to think about it, however, before a tall dark haired girl entered the room and saw Cassandra lying on the floor. "Decided to take a nap?" the girl asked, taunting Cassandra. "Couldn't handle the excitement of going to Hogwarts? If you ask me, they never should have let you in. Far too dangerous after what happened to your father." "Shut up Laura." Cassandra said, undisturbed by what Laura had just said. She was used to it, almost all the girls in the orphanage thought she was a freak, and doomed to live the life her father had led. Even the caretakers at the orphanage would glance oddly at her as she passed in the hallways. The only person who trusted her was Florence Clay, her best and only friend.

"I'll say whatever I want to say, Riddle!" Laura spat out Cassandra's last name like it was venom. "And you better not talk to me like that at Hogwarts. I'm a prefect you know!"

Cassandra ignored Laura, and headed out of the room. Looking down at the floor as she walked, she ran right into Florence. "Cassy! Are you coming or not?" Florence asked. "What are you talking about?" Cassandra asked.
"Don't you remember?" Florence asked wildly. "Mrs. Derry is taking us
to Diagon Alley to get our school supplies!"

Suddenly remembering, Cassandra ran back into her room to grab
her Gringotts key. "I'm coming!" Cassandra yelled out to Florence, as
she ran down the hallway.

"Lets see, we have all our books, and robes." Florence read off
a piece of parchment. "That leaves wands and cauldrons!"

"Welcome to Ollivander's Wand's!" said Mr. Ollivander, handing
Cassandra a wand. "Here try this."

Cassandra gave the wand a flick, and weak blue sparks shot out
through the end of the wand.

"No, no, not quite." Mr. Ollivander muttered, and handed her
another wand.

This time, bright green sparks flew out of the wI can't wait for
the next chapter, as this is quite good! :) It almost seems as though

Dragon heartstring, Willow, 14 inches! Quite good at charms and
jinxes! An excellent wand! I myself have a dragon heartstring wand,
however, mine is made of yew." Mr. Ollivander turned away has
Cassandra handed him the money for the wand, to go see to other
customers.
