Love me, love her

I landed softly, glancing around me. Waiting for him. The jerk had called me again, saying he had found out something important. I absently ran my fingers through my windblown hair, I knew I looked horrible, not that I cared. No really I don't. I felt something ominous behind me and whirled around. Of course, he hadn't made a sound as usual. By his side was my clone aka Maya. She was smirking, her hair was perfect, silky and curled and her clothes were designer. I whistled mentally. She sure was a show off. But what bothered me most was her hand. Intertwined with his. I hung around, unsure what to do. I made my decision in a split second. I ran, snapped my wings open and flew out into the sky. Dimly I could hear him shouting.

"Max! Wait this isn't what it looks like!" and I heard him chasing after me. I used my powers and went faster. I landed on a grassy field and absentmindedly picked a flower. My mind was in turmoil, I didn't know whether to cry, sleep, laugh or do something else. Before I knew it, tears were in the corner of my eyes. I wiped them away before it could fall. I know, I am supposed to be the cheerful kid. Swear cheerfully, get at everyone's nerves. But that wasn't me since he I fully blame him for Angel's death. I bit my lip and started picking the petals out of the daisy.

"Love me." On petal down. "Love her." Another fell before me. And so it went on, until there was one left. "Love me." I whispered. Just then, I felt strong arms wrap around me.

"Yes," he said in a husky voice "Look Max, I was holding hands with Maya because there was this stupid love gate saying that we needed to be a couple to pass." I stayed silent, and slowly, leant in, looking out into the field. I heard his sigh of relief.

"Do you love me?" the question blurted out before I could stop it. He seemed taken aback for a moment but quickly replied.

"Why do you ask that?"

"I knew it." I was going to stand up but he pulled me down.

"I asked that because I thought it would be obvious, I love you, I have always loved you and always will love you." He said quietly. I twisted around, staring into his dark eyes, the strange gold flecks in his eyes. They were beautiful. He grasped my shin, and leant in, we kissed deeply and passionately. I loved him, and I wasn't letting him go. Not now, not ever, he was mine forever. I loved Fang.

Did you like it? Hate it? Please review, this is my first one-shot!

A/N Notice how the last he isn't italic? And how she said Fang in the last part?
