PHOENIX WRIGHT AND THE FIRST VOLT FACE

Phoenix Wright weas a lawyer, but hadn't ever taken a case. Suddenly, on the radio, he heard that Clay Terran, his friend from when he was very very very young, had been murdered! "OH NO THIS IS BAD WHAT WILL I DO I AM REALLY UPSET" he said. His landlady came upstairs and kicked him out the house for the noise. When outside, he sat on a bench and thought about if he was ready to take his first case, and show who the real culprit was, as the radio also said that his other best school friend, Benjamin Hunter, had been the culprit. His dog, Pess, sat and whimpered at the dilemna his beloved owner was in. Phoenix looked up at the sky, and saw his wardrobe falling. It had been thrown out of what had been his enormous window. The wardrobe landed on Pess, killing him instantly. Attached to the wardrobe was an eviction notice, that read:

"Phoenix Wright: You were too loud and I hate you anyway. Go and work in McDonalds. Signed - _. Dated 3/4, 2017, 2:34 PM"

Strange, there was no signature. Phoenix jotted down a scan of the notice in his organiser. "Well, now my only current friend is dead, I have no house and my past friends are either dead or going to prison if I don't help them." Phoenix said. He knew what he had to do.

As he arrived at the detention center, Phoenix was informed that Benjamin was already being visited, by a Mr Matt Engarde, who also had attended their school. Phoenix didn't know Matt that well, but he heard that he now worked in music or something, maybe they were a DJ? From outside the room, Phoenix saw what was happening. Matt was standing next to Benjamin. He said "Why, oh why!? How could this have happened to a guy like Jim!?". But neither the victim, nor the defendant is called Jim. "Are you some idiot or something? NOBODY IS CALLED JIM" said Phoenix through the barred window on the door. "Don't touch me! Leave me alone! Just let me be!" exclaimed Matt. Phoenix stepped away from the window. "How could you kill him? What did he ever do to you". "But I didn't do it, it was someone else!" exclaimed Benjamin. "The "body"? The "BODY"!? Don't talk about him like he's just some lump of flesh!" hollered Matt. An audible "..." was heard from Benjamin. "Oh wait, wrong line feed! Anyway, your turn, Mister Lawyer " snickered Matt. Phoenix began working out what to do immediately"Thanks, Matt. So do you have a lawyer yet, Benjamin? I have decided that I am going to defe-". "Yes, I have a lawyer, called Marvin Grossberg". "Oh, well... Bye..." solemnly stated Phoenix.

Phoenix returned "home". He picked up his radio from the ground, and turned it on, as it used batteries anyway. "Breaking news just in: beautiful lawyer killed. Marvin Grossberg, age 65, was killed in what may be murder. Someone, who is not known, replaced the sugar he used to put in his coffee with salt. His poor health conditions, combined with the 10.5Kg of salt he consumed before noticing, caused heart failure. He was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival." This was the lawyer that should have been defending Benjamin! Phoenix hurriedly returned to the detention center again.

"Benjamin! Grossberg is ded!" Phoenix spewed out. "WHAT? Uncle Marvy... died?". "Yes, he was killed by his coffee, just like everyone else". "Ohhhh... This is not good. I don't have a lawyer... I'm going to be found guilty..." "OBJECTION" objected Phoenix; "I'll defend you myself. I trust you, you wouldn't have killed him.". "Uh, alright, I guess. How experienced are you?" "Hurry up, just sign this, you don't want to be found guilty, do you?". "Ok, I'll sign it.". That settled it.

Phoenix had taken his first case.
