The first part of this is a true story that happened to my sister, it was really funny so I used it as part of a friendship fic for RvB. Hope you enjoy.
Caboose walked through blue base humming an upbeat tune as he tilted his head back and forth to the beat of the song. He entered the kitchen and twirled against the clean tile floor, giggling a bit to himself. He walked over and opened the pantry to grab a bag of microwave popcorn. He took off the plastic and looked at it from all sides. He pouted as he saw that it didn't tell him how long to put it in for. But he soon smiled again as he decided he'd ask Church, he would know how long to put it in for! Caboose stuck his head out of the kitchen before calling out for Church.
"Chuuurch!" he hollered. Down the hall Church and Tucker sat on the floor playing poker. At Caboose voice Church cringed. Tucker snickered a bit but stopped as Church shot him a glare. "How long do you put popcorn in the microwave for?" Because of how his voice echoed, and Church's inability to listen to him, all he heard was something about time and the microwave. Seeing as it was evening Caboose was probably making dinner, so Church decided his response to that.
"Five minutes!" he called back. Caboose thought that sounded funny, but decided not to question it as he put the bag into the microwave and put the time in. He started it and grabbed a comic book, opening it to the spot he left off on and hummed a tune as he started to read, not paying attention the popcorn across from him. Across the canyon Grif and Simmons played go-fish with Donut and Sarge sipped his coffee while he watched in silence. There moment of relaxation was interrupted by a huge popping noise from the other side of the canyon. Grif put down his cards and stood up.
"I gotta see this one," he said as he pulled on his combat boots and walked out with his teammates right behind him, Sarge wearing a leather jacket. When they finally reached blue base they saw all three outside their base coughing with smoke coming out of the base. Grif and Simmons shared a funny look. Church stopped coughing a moment and glared at Caboose.
"What the hell Caboose?" he screamed. Caboose backed down in sadness. "You weren't making dinner, were you?" Caboose shook his head. Church groaned and sat down on a rock. Sarge was telling Simmons about how now would be a great time to ambush them and how they should kill them all. Grif sighed. Sarge was gonna hate him, and hell maybe he'd even hate himself. But he wouldn't sleep tonight if he didn't. He put his hands in his pockets and walked down the hill towards blue team. "Well, looks like we're sleeping outside to night." Church sighed.
"Or you can come over to red base for the night," Grif suggested nonchalantly. Sarge stared at him opened mouthed in surprise while everyone else looked at Church, waiting for his answer. Church looked up at Sarge, looking at his reaction. Sarge snapped his mouth shut and looked at Church, after a momentary eye contact between the two leaders Sarge gave a curt nod and Church turned to Grif with a funny smile.
"Yeah, that's nice of ya orangey," Church said. Grif gave an insulted look, but than smirked.
"At least you got the color right," he remarked turning around and walking away. Church laughed and Blue team walked with the Reds to back to their base. This wasn't something that happened everyday, the Red team letting their enemies stay in their own base, but Church guessed that it didn't really matter over much, so he shrugged it off and simply walked with both teams to the other side of the canyon.
Well, that's all I got. I might add more, but I'm not sure.
Thanks for reading and please review! And have a bow chicka bow wow day!
