Fourth of July
It was Fourth of July and the Shiba House couldn't be busier. Jayden and Mike were outside, preparing the fireworks, Antonio and Emily was in the kitchen, cooking, and Ji and Mia were decorating the living room in red, white, and blue.
While Jayden was outside with Mike seeting up the fireworks, Mike asked him, "Are you ready for tonight?"
"No, "Jayden said.
"No? Dude you've been planning this for weeks! How can you be saying no?"Mike asked him.
"I'm kidding! I'm prepared for this, "Jayden said.
"Don't give me a heart attack, man, that's not funny!"Mike said as Jayden laughed.
"I'm nervous though, "Jayden said.
"Dude, you know what she'll say, why are you nervous?"Mike asked.
"Why are you asking some very stupid questions today, Mike?"Jayden asked him.
"Hello, Jayden, MIke, "Antonio said, coming out with the ice cream maker and mix inside.
"Hey, Antonio, "Jayden and Mike said.
"How are the fireworks going?"Ji asked.
"Pretty good, "Jayden said, hooking another wire.
"Hey, boys, "Emily said coming out with another ice cream maker with chocolate mix inside.
"Hey, Em, "Mike said.
"Hey, babe, "Jayden said, hardly looking up from his work, trying not to blow himself up.
Jayden gave Mike a small kick, making sure he kept his mouth shut about his surprise for Emily, his girlfriend, that night.
Mke shot Jayden a look and went back to his work.
"Please tell me you guys are keeping Mia out of the kitchen, "Mike said with a laugh.
"Yeah, her and Ji are still decorating the living room, "Emily said, "Be prepared for confetti shooting out at you when you walk in."
"Great, "The two young men said.
The rest of their job was silent as Mike and Jayden finished hooking up the fireworks and went back inside. Jayden and Mike jumped as confetti launched out at him.
That night came and the rangers sat down to eat outside and just be together, but most importantly, celebrate their freedom.
When it finally got dark enough, Mike went and started his speech before the he let the fireworks.
"Now, ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here tonight to witness the best fireworks display you have ever seen! Also, this one is going to be larger than last years and the largest I've ever put together with Jayden!"Mike exclaimed.
"This is the only one we've put together!"Jayden shouted.
"Anyhow, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, Mike and Jayden's Fireworks Extravaganza! Let's light it up!"Mike exclaimed, lighting the fuse.
Mike ran off as the first firework shot off. About five minutes after the show started, words spelled out into the sky reading, "Marry me, Emily"
Emily turned to her boyfriend, who was now down on one knee, holding out a ring. She nodded as tears streamed down her cheecks. Jayden slid the ring on her hand and kissed her as fireworks kept shooting off in the distance.
