Kelly was sitting on the huge pink armchair, thinking of Shezow. She mentally checked off the boxes in her head. Last week, Shezow had to face off Tara, and managed to scrape through sheer luck that Tara fell off a cliff. On Tuesday, Megamonkey, one of Shezow's more formidable opponents, almost killed her when her hair was ruined. And just last night, even Candy Rapper had a chance to beat Shezow, but was stopped when Maz, in one of his wacky costumes, successfully distracted the villain for Shezow to defeat. The more Kelly thought about it, the weirder it got. Sure, she reasoned, Shezow needs some sidekick help when it comes to fighting certain villains, but Candy Rapper?! He was not even considered a threat, yet Shezow couldn't finish him herself.
In the past, it was really easy for her brother, Guy, as Shezow, to defeat them, even when he just learned how to control his powers. But she noticed that as he grew older, he was actually getting weaker. It wasn't really noticeable at first, he still managed to defeat them, but got tired easily, and slept most of the time when he wasn't Shezow.
Right now, she was waiting for Guy and Maz to come back after defeating Shezap, Shezow's evil clone and the one of the hardest villain to defeat. She sighed and turned to the big screen in the Shelair, "Sheila, can you give me the exact coordinates of Shezow and Maz? They are taking too long,"
On the screen appeared a pair of huge pink lips," Don't worry, they should be back just about.." Sheila paused, "now," at the instant the Shehicle suddenly came into view. The car door opened and Maz came out, helping Shezow out of the car. Shezow put an arm around Maz's shoulders and slowly stood up.
"Guy! What happened?" Kelly rushed to their side, concern etched on her face. Maz showed a similar expression and replied," Shezap happened. She managed to ruin Shezow's hair and we ran out of Shellac. But we managed to defeat Shezap, barely," he winced, blood slowly dropping drop by drop on the floor.
"Maz, you should stop now, I'll go get some Shellac," Kelly walked away and came back with some and sprayed it at Shezow's hair. It fixed the hair, but Shezow still remained tired and weak. "Maz, why don't you rest? You have blood on your forehead," Kelly ushered him, pushing him away.
But Maz stood on his ground. "No, I can't. Don't you see? Even with Shellac, Guy's still not alright. This is bad, Kel. I tried thinking of a way to figure out this problem but I couldn't think of anything," he stared at her helpless. It was then that Kelly realized the seriousness of the issue, even Maz noticed Guy was weakening. Plus, he didn't even correct her and tell her not to call him Maz when he was in his sidekick costume. He looked serious and worried, and was gently massaging Shezow's back. Shezow hadn't even turned back to Guy and was closing his eyes, groaning and turning back and forth.
"Maz, I think you should bring Guy back to his room to let him sleep," she touched his shoulder, motioning to the lift.
"Yeah, Kel. I think I'll do that," And with that, Maz put one of his arm under Shezow's knees and one wrapping around his back, lifting him up. As he walked away, carrying Guy bridal-style, Kelly could hear him mutter," Hopefully we won't get caught by Mr. and Mrs.H,"
Meanwhile, Kelly paced around the room, thinking harder than ever. Work brain, work! she mentally scolded herself, you are the smarter sibling, hurry up and find a way!
After a long period of time just staring into space, she finally got up and strode to Guy's room, intending to check up on Guy.
