A/N: Hey guys! New fic time...and also announcement time. For those of you reading Adjusting, it's going to be on hold for the next week or so, seeing as my laptop is currently indisposed (the reason this A/N is all not bold and stuff). I'm typing all of this out on an iPod touch, so please be gentle as far as grammar or spelling mistakes :) So without further ado, I give you my one-shot Tiva NCIS fic, an AU tag to "Driven". It's pretty much me making up my own little world based on one line :) Enjoy!
"You two get married and not tell me?"
Ziva suddenly looked uncomfortable. Very uncomfortable. Too uncomfortable.
Gibbs narrowed his eyes. "You got something you want to tell me, David?"
Ziva shifted awkwardly in her seat, and suddenly the car seemed much smaller than it had moments before.
"Gibbs..." She trailed off at the look on his face.
He took a deep breath. "Do you mean to tell me that my commitment-shy senior agent not only broke regulation but RULE TWELVE to marry his partner- the very woman who threatens him at least twice a day?"
Ziva cleared her throat. "Yes..."
Gibbs turned his face back to the windshield and took a swig of his coffee. "How long?"
"One month."
There was a moment of silence before Gibbs turned to Ziva, annoyed. "Well?"
Ziva was confused. "Well what?"
"Are you gonna fill me in on what brought this on?"
She hesitated only a second. "I'm pregnant."
Gibbs' eyebrows almost left his forehead and his eyes widened. After a moment he asked. "How far along?"
The ex-asassin smiled slightly. "Coming up on my eleventh week." She paused. "I think it's a girl."
A ghost of a smile appeared on Gibbs' face before she continued, somewhat nervously for Ziva. "It's probably just hormones, but I'm just so worried about Tony, even if he says it's nothing." Her brow furrowed. "This is confusing."
Gibbs studied her for a moment before extending his arm and giving her the gentlest head slap that was perhaps ever delivered. "That was for breaking Rule Twelve and not inviting me to the wedding." Then he put the same arm around her shoulders and leaned over, kissing her forehead. He didn't need to explain this motion. Her eyes watered from a combination of hormones and actual emotion. Gibbs released her and opened the car door, stepping outside. Before closing the door, he ducked down and looked her straight in the eye.
"For the record Ziva...it's about damn time."
A/N: And that's a wrap folks! Remember to review!
