And again, not one of my best works,

If I have a best work…

Ever since Asuma died, Shikamaru has been sulking. I can't blame him, though. Asuma was also my sensei. But he really needs to get over his death. Everything dies. Nothing lives forever.

I was a good friend of Shikamaru's. I might just be the only person to get him out of his room. It's probably not likely, but it's worth a try.

His house wasn't too far away from my own. I walked there in less than two minutes and knocked on his door. I heard yelling coming from inside. A few seconds later Shikaku, Shikamaru's father, opened the door.

"Aimi! Just who we needed." He said. "Shikamaru's still up in his you think you can get him out?"

"Hm…why else would I have come?" I asked with a smile and walked into the house.

"Good luck!" Shikamaru's mother said while cleaning dishes. I ran up the stairs and knocked on Shikamaru's bedroom door. Silence.

"Shikamaru, if you don't open up this door I'll just come in!" I threatened. I heard a clicking sound, telling me that he had locked the door. "Dammit, Shikamaru!" I yelled and reached up in the door's frame, searching for a key of some type. One fell down. I picked it up and unlocked the door. Shikamaru was standing right beside it.

"What do you want?" He asked harshly. I stood in front of him and noticed that he had been crying.

"Shikamaru, you need to get over him." I told him softly.

"What do you know?" He asked, raising his voice.

"I know a whole lot more than you do!" I found myself raising my voice, also. "You need to get over Asuma's death. You need to learn that everyone will eventually die!" I felt a stinging feeling on my cheek. Shikamaru had slapped me.

"You don't know how I feel! You don't know anything!" he yelled

"You think you're the only one that's sad that he died? Well I hate tobreak it to you, Shikamaru, but you're not! Do you really think I'm happy that hepassed away?" I asked. Tears were falling down my face as I yelled this. Shikamaru noticed and remorse showed through his eyes

"Aimi, I'm sorry." He said pulling me into a hug. I slowly hugged him back "So are you going to come outside with me? It's a niiicee daaayyyy." I tempted, smiling at him

"Anything for you." He told me and grabbed my hand. Both of us went outside to enjoy the clouds after waving 'goodbye' to his smiling parents.
