Hey. I really should update some of me stories rather than one shots should I? Aniway, this is just my way of ending the game. it doesn't make any sense I think, but I couldn't get it out of me head. I'm not saying that I hate the way the game actually ends, but it seems to hurried. So I just thought of a way to lengthen it and added a hint of yaoi in it. JUST A DROP! So enjoy

But I Trust You

Josh raised the gun, smiling that signiture smug smile of his as if this was something he did everyday. Neku stood around a metre away from him, bending over on his knees. A gun lay an arms length away from him. Many thoughts and memories were running through Neku's head; him waking up in Shibuya, meeting Shiki, meeting Beat and Rhyme, Rhyme's erasure, meetin Mr Hanekoma and finding out he was cat from Joshua, first meeting Joshua, putting up with him and his annoying smirk and giggle, finding out that he never died and was actually the Composer, but the most main thought: "He betrayed me. He betrayed my trust." His eyes felt hot and soon he was aware of hot tears of hurt and anger fall from his eyes. He looked up and stared at the gun. He looked up to see Joshua still smiling and pointing his gun at him. I thought I found a friend i could relate to...

Neku snatched the gun from the ground and pointed it at Joshua with shaky hands. Joshua stared at Neku, and Neku stared back. In that moment that their eyes locked for one second, Neku knoew he couldn't do it. He lowered the gun. Joshua's finger was on the trigger, about to pull it and shoot, when he saw Neku throw the gun to his side and run up to him. One hand shot out and pulled the gun downwards. The other wrapped around his slender neck and pulled him into an awkward hug.

'Neku...?' Josh whispered. Neku moved his head toward his ear.

'I will never forgive you.' Neku whispered back in icy tones that even made Joshua shiver. He pulled back and looked once more into the violet eyes of his second partner. Joshua stared into the sky blue eyes of his proxy. He saw hurt, but no anger, and something else that he couldn't identify. He suddenly felt his arm jerk up. The hand that he had forgotten was holding his arm and moved his hand so that the gun was pointing at Neku's head. Joshua's eyes widened in surprise that the gesture.

'What are you-' He stopped when he saw more tears slip down Nekus ckeeks and into that high neck sleaveless top he wore, the high collar pulled down to reveal a sad smile.

'But I trust you.' Neku whispered. He saw every detail of his second partener now; the silvery blond hair, the deep mysterious violet eyes, the pale ivory skin. He took one last look before resting his own finger on top of Joshua's, which was on top of the trigger. Joshua gasped when he realised that his proxy was doing.

'Neku wait!' Too late

The bang from the gun echoed through the room. Neku bagan to fall backwards, the grip on the gun slipping. Joshua watched as if it was in slow motion. He watched until Neku's body fell with a loud thud on the floor. His eyes moved to the smoking gun in his hand. He dropped it as if it were a dangerous thing. He moved his eyes again to the red head that lay on the floor. His hair covered his eyes, but he feared that if he moved tha hair away, he'd only meet dull blue eyes. Joshua sank to his knees and stared as the screams of Shiki echoed through the room, mixing with the ghost echo of the gun shot that still lingered in the air.
