Alex mercer sprinted along the rooftops, desperately trying to shake the helicopters that had been following. He was still in the early stages of evolution, and didn't know how to hijack vehicles yet. As he jumped from roof to roof, he realized he would have to destroy them. He launched himself off a sixty three story roof and landed on the ground below without a scratch. He quickly grabbed a taxi, and took aim. He waited for the helicopter to slow down, and threw the car with all his hit the front of the heli, and the nose crumpled in with such might, that the co-pilot was crushed. The helictopter exploded and fell onto the street. There was an enourmous chain of explosions going halfway up Manhattan. But there were still two helicopters left. He attempted to grab another car, but was startled by shouts behind him. A small group of soldiers had appeared from a small building armed with missile launchers. "Perfect" he thought to himself.
He quickly dispatched the soldiers using his claw form, their insides all over the footpath. He jumped up a building and ripped another soldiers head off, who had been carrying a sniper. He jumped back down and grabbed the missile launchers. He opened fire on the helicopters, which blew up in quick succession.
As he sprinted towards central park, the location of another Web Of Intrigue victim, he heard strange noises coming from the buildings beside him. He kept running. He heard screams behind him. But he kept running. He knew the Hunters were faster than him. But he kept running.
Without warning he was knocked into the side of a building. Hunters were incredibly strong, agile and determined. They were hungry. He stared at their deformed grotesque faced as they pounced on him. He jumped, and changed into his brute form. His fists were now massive, but slow. He sprinted up a wall, flipped off, and knocked his fist into a hunter. That attack would have destroyed a tank in one hit, but the Hunter just shook its head. Alex knew he couldnt win, so sprinted towards a military base, hoping it would take interets in something else.
But the Hunter was faster than him. He sprinted up buildings, but the Hunter followed. He needed some way of distracting it, because he would never make it to the base in time. Thats when he saw a hydra. Alex jumped onto the ground and grabbed a civilian. He jumped back onto the roof, and waved it front of the Hydra. The pilot stared. Alex grabbed the civilians head, and sliced him in half. The Hydra immediately fired on him, and he grabbed the missile and threw it at the Hunter. The Hunter dodged it and pounced at the jet.
But it wasnt over. "ALEX MERCER" a voice said. "YOU WILL NOW COME WITH US". It was John West.
