Rachel, Puck

Notes: Written for [info]manicmarauder88, who requested it at the Glee Prompt Meme. The prompt was solidarity. My first Glee fic, just a tiny drabble.

Rachel and Puck were both running behind to get to McKinley. Puck woke up late, Rachel's dad's car got a flat on the way. By the time their respective cars skidded to a stop in front of the high school, the rest of the club had loaded onto the bus. Someone had decorated it with shoe polish – Sectionals, here we come!

Rachel looked at Finn, Tina, and Mercedes pleadingly, but just as she began to make her way down the aisle, Mr. Schue got on.

"Puck, Rachel, sit right up here next to me. We need to get on the road." He said, sitting down and staring at the two until they reluctantly sat on the seat across from him. "Let's go, Barry." He said, leaning forward to talk to the bus driver. "We're all here."

The bus lurched and began rolling forward, out onto the road. Rachel sighed heavily and reached into her bag, fumbling for her iPod. Before she could get the earbuds in, Puck was nudging her.

"Want some Laffy Taffy?" Puck asked, holding out an array of colors to her. "Just not blue, it's my favorite."

"Well, yellow's mine," Rachel replied sharply. "Uh, thanks." She finished meekly as she unwrapped the candy.

"Wait," Puck said as she began to crumple to wrapper. "You have to read me the jokes and I have to read you mine."
