Bill, Dipper and Mirage sighed as they stared at the world's most treasured device; the TV. Though it wasn't very treasured to the small family right now since there was nothing interesting on.

"It's a choice between the news and this antique show" Dipper grumbled.

"I'm so borrrrred!" Bill groaned, throwing a blanket into the air and letting it float down.

Fourteen year old Mirage caught the blanket and held it above her head while Bill held the other end at the same level, creating some kind of tent.

"That gives me an idea" Dipper grinned, standing up from his spot between his husband and his daughter, causing the blanket to wrap around his face, Bill and Mirage took the opportunity to grab their ends of the blanket and pull Dipper back down onto the couch.

"What idea, dad?" Mirage wondered.

"I'm gonna need every blanket in the house" Dipper stated.

Bill and Mirage caught on quickly and hurried to get the blankets while Dipper moved the chairs and the tables to create a large space.

Bill teleported into the middle of the space with Mirage and a huge pile of blankets –Dipper noticed some mattresses too- next to them.

"Alright, let's get to work" Dipper grinned.

Dipper grabbed a chair and put it in the centre and then surrounded it with the four mattresses. Bill put a chair on each corner of the mattresses and hung sheets to and from each of them, creating 'rooms'. Mirage taped a few sheets to the roof to create a second level and grabbed the dining table before putting it upside down before securing it on top of the middle chair to make an actual floor, where she put a lot of cushions and the quilt her aunt Mabel had given her for her tenth birthday. With the outside of the fort finished, they started filling the inside with the remainder of the cushions and blankets and hid some snacks underneath the middle chair.

While Bill was off popping some popcorn –he was completely fascinated by how the dried corn exploded and turned into a completely different food- Dipper heard someone knock at the door.

"Pacifica is out visiting her parents, so I figured we could come over for dinner" Mabel smiled.

"Well our table is out of order right now, but sure, if you don't mind sitting on the floor" Dipper nodded.

"Why is your table out of order?" Mabel's ten year old twins, Luna and Lana asked at the same time.

"Come look for yourself" Mirage grinned, pushing open the front door further to show the chaotic state their lounge room was in.

"Cooooool!" the girls grinned.

"This is amazing!" Mabel gaped.

"You should see the inside" Mirage grinned back.

"Come on!" Luna and Lana dragged their mother inside and plunged into the fort.

"This is so cool!" Mabel and her daughters exclaimed.

"Did you make it unbreakable?" Dipper asked Bill when Bill entered the room.

"Yep" Bill nodded, watching as Mabel, Luna, Lana and Mirage jumped around and bumped into stuff.
