AN: Hey guys. So I was cleaning my room and came across this poem that I had written a while back. And when I was looking at it I was like "wait did I write this? I don't remember writing this" and I still don't, but I remember what I had intended for it, and I figured I would share it. I know it's different from my usual one shot stories, but I hope you enjoy it anyways!
There were lies on your tongue
But truth in your touch
And I don't know which one to believe.
One, or the other, I could learn to understand
Instead a war's waged inside me.
Which is the truth,
When the same hand which once caressed me so soft
Now holds a gun to my head?
Your chest, which once braced me against every storm,
Now bears the sign of my enemies,
And your arms which once wrapped me in safety
Are now a cage.
Your lips, which once whispered love songs in the form of my name
Now bark out commands
And I don't know who you are anymore.
Everything that I had once loved
You have poisoned against me
So I ask you only this;
Why did you have to pretend?
Why give me everything,
Just to take it away
And leave me bleeding from the pain you have given me in its stead.
I don't need your answer.
I will never again believe a word that you say.
You mouth can lie to me now, if it must,
But know that your hands no longer carry my trust.
